My experience building a Sanskrit Dictionary app showed me how LLMs and Python empowered me, a Swift developer, to work with unfamiliar tools, languages, and systems I once thought were out of reach.
I couldn't agree more. I feel exactly the same. It's like LLMs gave me a second superpower (the first one is coding lol). I feel like I can build anything and I want to do so.
Sometimes I even feel like I could drop in any software developer gig (indies still need to pay the bills 😅), no matter the stack, the codebase, and probably do a decent job because of transfer knowledge. Industry hasn't caught up yet though.
Ditto, I learned Android Studio and Kotlin with ChatGPT and a huge help when I need to add ASN.1 to a iOS project. Claude has become my goto with Cursor, and Perplexity is pretty good too! Just upgraded to *26 and Apple has a long way to go, but progress this year with FoundationModel when it works, more like Alpha than Beta. Like you I find it remarkable that I became an instant Python programmer and even got a contract as a finance data science engineer this winter. I am taking the Packt Build AI Agents over the weekend, Valentina Alto is a fantastic lecturer! Keep up the good work and can’t wait for your next workshop.

I want to release (update) one more app before upgrading to Tahoe!! Currently training my own model - can't believe it!
